Jo" has two meanings. It comes from the name of the sea that runs along the coast of Manduria, Mare Jonio or Ionian Sea.

Jonico is also one of the synonyms of Negramaro, the indigenous grape variety par excellence of Gran Salento.

Dense ruby red
Nose
Great olfactory complexity, with notes of sweet spices, forest fruits, dried red flowers, coffee and hints of menthol.
Mouth
Ample, supple and elegant. It has a nice freshness, easy tannins and a great persistence.
Winemaking
Slight drying on the vine. After fermentation, the wine is matured for 12 months in 50% new oak barrels and 50% second passage.
