If France has a plethora of great wines, Spain has few, but their reputation is unequivocal. In the heart of the Ribera del Duero, Bodegas Vega Sicilia is undoubtedly the flagship of the entire region and probably of Spain. With its Unico vintage that easily competes with the greatest wines in the world, Vega Sicilia is the grand cru par excellence that has helped to make an entire appellation shine and to make another great winemaker of the region, Peter Sisseck and his Pingus vintage, known.

Alfavin.ch has chosen to work with these talented domains, which like them, are in perpetual search of excellence and quality. And it is in this sense and quite naturally that Alfavin.ch has chosen to work since the beginning with another great name of Spanish viticulture: René Barbier. Real driving force of Priorat and its renaissance, René Barbier is simply the Catalan reference.
