Maculan, winemaker from Veneto
Discover the Legacy of Maculan Wines
The Origins of Maculan Winery
In 1947 Giovanni Maculan began his project in Breganze, a charming village at the foot of the Asiago plateau in the province of Vicenza in the Veneto region. The mild climate is favourable to the cultivation of vines and olive trees. The soil of this region is ideal for grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Vespaiolo.
Fausto Maculan's Vision and Achievements
Fausto Maculan is now in charge of the family estate. His passion, enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit have enabled him to bring his wines to national and international recognition. After studying oenology at the University of Conegliano, a few trips to the best wine-growing regions in the world and some daring experiments, he has managed to achieve his goals of "a small company for big products".
The Next Generation Joins Forces
Since 2007, his daughters Angela and Maria Vittoria have joined the family project. The company cultivates about 40 hectares of vines and olive trees and works with about 30 winegrowers.
