Rocca delle Macie, winemaker from Tuscany
Rocca delle Macie: A Journey Through Chianti Classico
The Origins of Rocca delle Macie
Rocca delle Macie is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico area, in Castellina in Chianti. When this estate was bought by Italo Zingarelli in 1973, the vineyard was only 2 hectares out of the 93.
Expansion and Diversity of Vineyards
Today, it covers more than 500 hectares, including 200 for the vineyard and 22 for the olive trees. It is divided into 6 distinct properties; The Macìe, Sant'Alfonso, Fizzano and the Tavolelle in the Chianti Classico area, in addition to Campomaccione and Casa Maria in the area of Morellino di Scansano (Maremma).
A Prestigious Addition: Brunello di Montalcino Esperienza Number 8
With its Brunello di Montalcino Esperienza Number 8, the Zingarelli family adds to their range a wine from one of the most prestigious winemaking areas in the world. Esperienza Numero 8 is the 8th wine produced with the DOCG designation.
