Podere Orma is a success story started by the Italian wine guru Antonio Moretti, also the owner of the famous Tenuta Sette Ponti in Tuscany, Poggio al Lupo in the Maremma and Feudo Maccari in Sicily. All wineries with evocative and famous names which speak volumes about the talent of the man known as Dottore Moretti.
A Prime Location for Exceptional Wine Production
It is here in the heart of Bolgheri, in the municipality of Castagneto Carducci, just next to the famous Ornellaia winery, that the estate of Podere Orma stretches over nearly 14 acres dedicated to the production of the unique eponymous wine, Orma.
A Legacy Built on Quality and Recognition
With a score of more than 90 points awarded by international critics for the initial 2005 vintage, Dr. Moretti clearly wanted to establish his brand (Orma means “trace” or “footstep” in Italian) by putting his name to a wine of exceptional quality, confirmed vintage after vintage.
