Nelin, Clos Mogador: A great white wine in the heart of the Priorat
Primarily a producer of red wine, the Priorat wine region also offers exceptional white wines. Nelin, a white wine from Priorat produced by the Clos Mogador estate, is René Barbier and his sons' answer to the demand for a great Catalan white wine. A blend of Grenache Blanc and Macabeu, this cuvée is a link between the quintessence of the terroir and the goldsmith's work undertaken by the Barbier family.
Clos Mogador, star of the Priorat
The international reputation of this estate, born in the mid-1980s, is well established. An hour and a half south of Barcelona in the Catalan hinterland, Clos Mogador, led by René Barbier, has become one of the faces of Priorat wine. Cultivating indigenous grape varieties and a few foreign ones, the estate has managed over the years to develop quality terroirs in a region with difficult climatic conditions. Now at the top, this estate, run by the children of René Barbier Senior, continues to follow its starred path.
Nelin, for those who appreciate complex white wines
Nelin is the perfect symbiosis of a great white wine and a timeless gastronomic break. This Spanish white wine from Priorat is the ideal wine for those who love complex and elegant white wines. Vinified as a red wine using pellicular maceration, Nelin is a wine made for ageing that reveals itself after a few years. With notes of vine peaches, exotic fruits, honey and wild flowers, Nelin is full-bodied on the palate. Its enveloping texture coats the palate and finishes with a pleasant mineral touch that gives it freshness and balance.
