This wine is produced mainly from the Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes as well as a small percentage of Molinara grapes. The «Moròpio» vineyard is located in the Classic area in Marano di Valpolicella at 350 meters above sea level. The terroir is clay type. Each year 8,000 to 9,000 bottles of this Amarone are produced.
On the nose, the fragrances meet in a whirlwind of red fruits, dried flowers, sweet spices, black cherry jam, coffee and chocolate. This Amarone has the distinction of being aged in 4 different wood species; oak, chestnut, cherry and mulberry. This ageing gives it aromas of spices and delicate oak, supported by good acidity, giving it freshness and pleasure with each sip.
