VENETO & VALPOLICELLA WINE PACK
A region where the expression ‘la dolce vita’ takes on its full meaning, thanks to the beauty of its landscapes and cities such as Verona and Venice, the Veneto harbours many wine secrets that should be discovered or shared. This is the ideal gift box for those who want to give an original gift. This gift box will delight wine lovers with three different cuvées, all produced by the Antolini family, each of which highlights the typical characteristics of the grape varieties and terroirs of Valpolicella. This area is one of the three zones of the Veneto wine region, famous for the production of Amarone wines.
Discover the treasures of Valpolicella
This boxed set gives you the chance to taste the emblematic grape variety of Valpolicella: Corvina. Discover the secret of this aromatic grape variety. Produced almost exclusively in the Veneto region, Corvina has a distinctive nose of fresh cherry and nuts. Its texture on the palate is supple, with elegant tannins. The finish is fruity and balanced.
Ripasso is an Italian red wine produced here from the three grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella. Its atypical production method makes it a special wine that all wine lovers must taste once in their lives. Valpolicella Ripasso is a red wine that undergoes a classic first fermentation, followed by a second fermentation using the lees recovered from the fermentation of the Amarone wines. This second stage gives the wine greater aromatic complexity, more power on the palate and a deeper colour. At Antolini, the result is a wine with notes of ripe cherries, mocha and toasted almonds on the nose. On the palate, the wine is balanced and long-lasting.
Amarone is the final wine in this discovery pack of Valpolicella wines. It is the most emblematic Italian red wine from the Veneto wine region. This wine is made from three typical grape varieties: Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella. Its production method is different from that of most wines from other wine-growing regions around the world: passerillage. This stage consists of drying the bunches of grapes just after the harvest in crates stored in large, airy sheds. In this way, the grapes concentrate their sugars and aromas before undergoing fermentation. The result is powerful wines with intense aromas. Domaine Antolini's Amarone Moropio comes from a terroir dominated by clay, which gives the wine its roundness. It reveals notes of black cherry, dark chocolate and tobacco. Its structure on the palate is dense with ripe fruit. Long finish.
